Have you ever experienced eating melted ice cream and cold rice meals because you just can’t find the right angle for your IG story? Well, you must be one of the 600 million Instagrammers who’ve been through that phase.
From Instagram’s post last December, the photo-sharing app now has 600 million users, and counting. That’s a huge increase because from their June 2016 statistics, there has been 500 million users only. Around six months, 100 million users have jumped into the hype, taking photos of their everyday lives, and taking it to social media for the rest of the world to see.
Also, it has been said that more than 300 million Instagrammers snap a selfie or scroll down their feeds every single day. Add to that, the 20% of these users only come form the United States, and the rest of the 80% comes from the outside of it.
Instagram, alongside the massive growth of its users, surely never lets their patrons down. They recently have introduced a lot of features which will make more people use the app. For the Instagram Stories (which works just like Snapchat), we can now share Boomerang, and even mention the person on the photo or video story. The person mentioned will then be notified. And just like on Facebook, you could now share Live stories. This new feature became available globally only this January. From this feature, you could do a live makeup tutorial, update your friends on your latest trip to Boracay, or even do a live chat with your followers.
Business would also surely add to the growing number of Instagram users because unclickable 5-second ads and 15-second video adds may now be added to Instagram stories. Business accounts would now be able to get analytics, including impressions, reach, replies, and exits. Some say it’s too early to roll out such features because stories just happened in August, but, with the power of technology, Instagram may do the magic.
