Patricia Aleckzandra | YoManila | Summer is fast approaching. The days are getting longer, and nights are beginning to get hotter. Do you have something fun in mind right now? Don’t bore yourself to death this summer by trying out some of these activities we have prepared for you.
- Have a potluck picnic. Summer is the best time to get-along with friend. Why not invite them for a potluck picnic? Set a theme for your picnic for extra fun. Go crazy with different ideas such as Unicorn Madness to Filipino spices. Who knows? Someone might even want to have a slumber party-themed picnic.
- Make a film. Brainstorm with friends for a great movie idea. Be as creative as you can in choosing the subject of your film. It can be from science fiction to cooking shows. You can also do smaller videos and start your own Youtube channel. Just remember to use your resources well.
- Find a new hobby. Summer can also be the perfect time to learn new things. Try enrolling in classes you never thought of taking like swimming or martial arts. You can also consider the things you have always wanted to try like calligraphy or pottery. Let this summer be the time to grow.
- Redecorate. Your closet, your room, your house. Let the good summer vibes wake your inner artist!
- Start being fit. If you have been slacking to go to the gym, summer is the time to start getting fit. Start with simple exercises like running around your place, or eating healthy.
- Visiting relatives. As much as summer means endless days of glory with friends, never forget that it is also the best time to keep in touch with your relatives. Make time to visit them. Find out your roots. Who knows? You might discover secrets you haven’t known before about your family.
- Go glamping. This kind of camping is actually for adults, but that doesn’t mean kids can’t enjoy it as well. Take your family on a glamping trip just to spend qual-time with them. You can visit Taal Maranan’s Farmville for your glamping trip this summer.
- Reach out. With all the free time you have, extending a helping hand to the less fortunate will not be a burden. Volunteer to help out in your local charity or foundation, or organize a fundraising event for them. Spread kindness while enjoying your break!
