women's month

It’s this time of the year again, ladies.

Nope, we’re not only talking about Fire Prevention Month because some women are just too hot. In the Philippines, we also observe the National Women’s Month Celebration as part of the worldwide observance of the International Women’s Day.

Under President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s administration, this celebration focuses on “Malasakit at Pagbabago” or True Compassion and Real Change. With that, this year’s theme goes as: “WE Make Change Work for Women”. Along with programs and free services for women this month, Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) launches an online advocacy in line with the celebration.

#BilangBabae, I am a #PartnerForChange

We’re sure Facebook has become a part of the Filipinos’ daily lives, so we’re also sure that there will be lots of participants for this advocacy. PCW encourages women to simply create a statement for change using the hashtags #BilangBabae and #partnerforchange. The online advocacy, then, is a “PCW initiative through social media enjoining women netizens to share their idea of change and how they see themselves contributing to achieve that change“, says PCW.

All you have to do is post a selfie and then use the hashtags on your caption. You’d have to like PCW’s Facebook page first and set your post to public for your entry to be counted in. PCW then would compile them through a photo montage, and the select 20 entries to be given special prizes.

You could post your entries until March 20, 2017. For the complete details and updates, you could visit PCW’s Facebook page.
